DBS Bank is seeking an exceptional Senior Vice President, Full Stack Engineer, to provide strategic technical leadership within our Wealth Management Technology department. This pivotal role will drive the overarching engineering, architecture, and product strategy at a platform level, shaping the future of our investment journeys for millions of customers. You will manage a significant engineering organization, foster innovation, and operate with a long-term strategic vision. Responsibilities Drive the strategic architecture and solutioning for enterprise-grade wealth management platforms, ensuring scalability, resilience, and future-proofing. Shape and evolve the engineering, architecture, and product strategy at the platform level, anticipating future business needs and technological advancements. Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex full-stack solutions that underpin critical investment journeys across a wide array of products (Bonds, Structured Products, Equities, etc.). Oversee and manage up to 6 squads of highly skilled full-stack engineers, providing strategic direction, technical guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, distributed micro-frontend architectures, and advanced engineering practices to build world-class platforms. Define and enforce best practices for CI/CD, DevOps, and deployment strategies utilizing platforms like OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), ensuring operational excellence and rapid delivery. Provide leadership in nurturing and developing engineering talent, including setting performance expectations, providing mentorship, and promoting continuous learning. Evaluate and integrate AI assistant coding tools and other emerging technologies into the development ecosystem to maximize efficiency and innovation. Act as a key technical advisor to senior management, product leadership, and business stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and roadmaps. Maintain an extensive understanding of the financial services industry, regulatory landscape, and global technology trends, applying this knowledge to steer strategic initiatives. Requirements Extensive and demonstrable experience in architecting, building, and delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade full-stack platforms using Java, ReactJS, and Python. Proven expertise in designing and implementing highly scalable, resilient, and performant solutions that serve millions of users, with a focus on high availability and low latency. Deep architectural knowledge of distributed systems, micro-services, and advanced micro-frontend patterns. Mastery of CI/CD methodologies, advanced DevOps practices, and significant experience with cloud-native deployment platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or similar. Exceptional leadership and management experience, with the ability to lead and inspire multiple engineering squads and drive large-scale technical initiatives. Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with a proven ability to define and execute long-term technology roadmaps. Deep and comprehensive knowledge across multiple investment product domains: Funds, Bonds, FX, Structured Products, Equities, Digital Assets. Alternatively, deep and comprehensive knowledge in advisory domains such as Portfolio Management, Construction, Rebalancing, and Risk Management. Demonstrated experience in leveraging and integrating AI assistant coding tools and other innovative technologies to enhance engineering productivity and capabilities. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is a plus.
