Description The Senior Vice President, Development & Capitalization will manage and support various fundraising and capitalization efforts and partner relationships in support of OFN’s development plans and goals, which include fundraising for: 1) Sponsorship, 2) Operating Grant Support, 3) Pass-Through Grants for Members, and 4) Private Credit & Equity. The Senior Vice President works to leverage existing and new relationships in addition to leading and managing one of the four core business lines above. This position works directly with the Chief Development Officer and the Office of the CEO. You may be the right candidate for this or other roles. This position is based in Washington, D.C. All staff currently work a hybrid schedule. In collaboration with the CDO, work across business lines to develop grant, sponsorship, and capital targets and other strategic goals and provide leadership for funder and investor relationships and fundraising campaigns. Directly manage the sponsorship process, by serving as the lead contact for sponsors; partnering with both external and internal staff to ensure sponsor satisfaction; Develop and execute against an annual sponsorship revenue plan and develop new prospects for sponsorship and identify new market opportunities. The SVP will be expected to take full ownership of the Sponsorship business line and coordinate with the CDO and other senior executives to set expectations and execute the strategy. Ensure timely execution of application packaging, submission, and funder/investor fulfillment requirements. Lead funder and investor reporting, including development of reporting for new initiatives. Manage the ongoing maintenance of investor reporting database (i.e., Salesforce) to combine loan and grant deployment activity with corresponding impact metrics. Develop and execute relationship plans for high-priority funders/investors. Coordinate across internal teams within OFN to manage funder/investor relationships. Conduct research, gather information, provide analysis, and support product development on current and potential new funders/investors to OFN and the CDFI industry. Lead initiatives to build and institutionalize the Development & Capitalization team’s policies, procedures, and systems. Coordinating across OFN teams to create administrative efficiencies. Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of direct professional experience; Graduate degree a plus. 7+ years of direct professional experience in one of two main fundraising domains: relationship-based fundraising from global corporations, institutional philanthropy, family offices or high net worth individuals; or, operational experience with high volume, small dollar technology-enabled fundraising. Experience in relationship management required as well as CRM software. Demonstrated writing experience with a focus on grant or proposal writing preferred. Knowledge of impact investing, community development and sustainability a plus. Ability to interface with employees at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally. Occasional travel required (10-20% of time). Comfortable working in a midsized nonprofit. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
