SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT (SVP) MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and executes on the development of communications and marketing strategies, complimentary to the organization’s strategic and operating plans to grow census and increase brand awareness
  • Leads, develops and grows a high-performing, multifaceted team by providing direction, feedback and coaching to achieve business objectives
  • Work directly across the enterprise to develop, influence, and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance internal and external communications and to increase the visibility of the business across key stakeholder audiences
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with targeted high-level external audiences, including local, state, and national media in all markets
  • Develop and implement communications, public relations, and media strategies to successfully deliver key messages both internally and externally through verbal, written, and electronic communications
  • Identify and prepare for challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization
  • Keeps up to date of changes in public opinion concerning AccentCare and the industry at large, and works with leadership to recognize communication opportunities and solutions
  • Conduct market research as needed to inform strategy development
  • Develop, maintain, and proctor regular media crisis communications preparedness exercises, and assess ongoing public relations risk for organization operations and potential adverse events or regulatory issues
  • Manage short- and long-term goal setting, media and public relations, varied and integrated communications products and services including but not limited to: newsletters and other print publications; web, e-news and other online communications; special and community events; internet and intranet communications; and all activities related to market positioning
  • Exercise judgment to prioritize media opportunities, and oversee the preparation of talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting material as needed
  • Actively engage, cultivate, and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding the organization’s programs, special events, public announcements, and other projects
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the communications function including budgeting, planning, staff management and development.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership and key internal stakeholders to translate the company’s goals, direction, and priorities to maximize employee engagement and to develop, enhance and celebrate the organization’s desired culture.
  • Foster a communication environment to encourage staff cooperation and interaction, teamwork and celebrate current achievements and future success.
  • Continue to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, and systems of the organization to develop effective communication techniques which reflect an understanding of the employee’s work environments.
  • Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, and ensuring quality standards. Is responsible for hiring, training, and developing, reviewing performance, and administering corrective action for staff.
