POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will function as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for CubeSmart and will lead the strategic direction of the Marketing function from our headquarters in Malvern, PA. This individual will be responsible for driving growth across all marketing platforms, oversee a $45mm+ marketing budget (85% of which will be utilized for digital marketing) and a team of 15+ teammates to develop and drive the execution of strategic marketing plans to meet CubeSmart’s short- and long-term business objectives, and provide the expertise and roadmap for increasing market share through customer attraction, conversion and retention. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Vice President of Marketing serves as a vital member of CubeSmart’s officer team.
In this highly competitive field, CubeSmart is seeking an innovator with a creative mind that can craft new ways to gain market share through novel yet practical approaches while maintaining its best practice philosophy.
The ideal candidate will have led or have been a senior member of a leadership team that has designed or recreated a digital marketing strategy for a “brick and mortar” B2C company resulting in on-line conversions of digitally generated leads to customer purchases. In addition, direct experience in leading the digital marketing function overseeing organic, paid search, and social media presence and website oversight is strongly desired, along with additional exposure to brand management and the more traditional marketing functions.
Responsibilities:

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ Marketing leadership experience in a multi-unit, retail, and e-commerce environment across diverse, high-growth markets with varying complexities.
  • Technical marketing leadership experience in SEO and SEM, web analytics, CRM software, digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Public company experience a plus
