JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Vice President – Originations is responsible for originating debt investments in commercial real estate with a focus on land and construction lending. Twain’s specialty finance products include predevelopment, bridge, and commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) lending. This position will work closely with the Managing Partner and third-party professionals to successfully develop a strong pipeline of new business and investment opportunities. This full-time position is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and requires approximately 20% travel. RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as primary person responsible for implementation of origination and growth strategy of the company. Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with real estate developers, brokers, financial institutions, equity and debt funds, and other key industry stakeholders to drive deal flow. Lead the preparation and negotiation of project-level term sheets and develop detailed cash flow models to evaluate prospective investment opportunities. Support the initial review, underwriting, and execution of transactions, ensuring alignment with Twain’s investment criteria and risk parameters. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal underwriting, project management, and asset management teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and portfolio performance. Requirements REQUIREMENTS Prior experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within real estate finance, lending, or brokerage is required. Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
