Description

As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the Senior Vice President (SVP)/Vice President (VP), Finance, will report directly to the President of NSL and play a strategic role in the overall financial management of the Group. The SVP/VP, Finance, will provide leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining sound financial, accounting, and reporting procedures and processes to effectively manage the Group’s financial risks. He/She will ensure the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to support business goals and strategies, while also overseeing the operations of the Group’s properties.
The role carries primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the Group. This includes direct oversight of accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relations, partnership compliance, and private and institutional financing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Recognized degree in Accountancy with CPA/CA professional qualification.
  • At least 10 years of relevant senior-level experience, preferably in a listed company or diversified group.
  • Strong business acumen with proven leadership in financial management.
  • High integrity, strong analytical ability, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong EQ, interpersonal, and people management skills with the ability to inspire and lead teams.
  • Results-oriented, with a positive attitude and drive.

Responsibilities
  • Timely consolidation of subsidiaries’ financial accounts and upward submission to Group Finance
  • Prepare monthly consolidated results and ensure timely release of quarterly SGX announcements and the Group’s annual report, in full compliance with FRS and SGX listing requirements.
  • Management oversight of subsidiaries financial accounts and regulatory related functions, and credit risk management
  • Lead preparation of the Group’s quarterly rolling budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage Group-level forex hedging decisions, risk management, cash flow, and borrowings.
  • Direct Group-wide tax planning initiatives.
  • Oversee the Administration function to ensure effective operations.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, strategy development, and overall Group performance.
  • Collaborate in the review of business cases and develop robust financial models to assess the feasibility of capital expenditure and business proposals, utilizing metrics such as NPV, IRR, ROE, and ROIC.
