POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Volumetric Accountant will support external financial and internal stewardship reporting and analysis by ensuring that hydrocarbon movements are properly recorded and validated. Accountable for recording and reconciling volumetric movements in terminals, in transit, other non-manufacturing locations or in manufacturing plants in compliance with all Contractual and legal obligations as well as internal controls. The Senior Volumetric Accountant will also lead a team and work towards continuous improvements to ensure efficiency and accuracy among all inventory reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in business administration, management, finance, accounting, or a related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience required
• CPA designation or CPA enrolment is an asset
• Bilingual French and English is an asset
• Experience in working with Supply and Offtake Agreements
• Demonstrated knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite as well as accounting software
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Precision and attention to details, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Sound communication, collaboration, and coordination skills
• Can-do attitude, willingness to take initiative and seek challenges

• Track, monitor and report yield performance from feedstock through production, storage and conveyance within all business segments
• Monitor inventory levels and report variances within each business segment
• Value inventory from feedstock through production, accurately tracking and valuing the inventory for accounting purposes
• Lead and supervise a team to ensure accurate inventory and reporting
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of renewable feedstock volumes received and co-processed, in alignment with regulatory and sustainability requirements
• Perform modelling to support traders and schedulers to understand business scenarios
• Perform month-end close process for assigned areas of responsibility, including reconciliation of assigned stock points
• Develop processes to identify areas of improvement, efficiencies and streamline procedures related to inventory and yield accounting
• Record all volumetric movements in manufacturing plants, including PMB, production / consumption, rebrands, etc.
