Job Description: Senior VP Business Development (External Wholesaler) We have an opportunity for an ambitious business development leader to drive results for a family of funds specializing in alternative investments. Your primary responsibility would be selling into the already established National Accounts of the firm with the focus on Western Canada (Alberta & BC). We offer a competitive base salary along with an attractive commission/bonus plan. Base Salary Range: $175,000-$185,000 + uncapped commission Role: Conduct sales meetings with IIROC advisors while explaining the advantages of partnering with the firm & the benefits of alternative investments. To achieve this, you will: · Leverage your established advisor relationships while continuing to network for new relationships. · Assist in developing and implementing strategies designed to provide support to advisors. · Assist with marketing strategies for the firm to grow AUM Ideal Candidate Profile: · 10+ years of External Wholesale experience with a strong track record of success in sales & a large established network of Advisors to sell into · Experience in selling alternative investments · University degree or equivalent industry education (industry designations are an added bonus) · Strong communication skills (both written & verbal) · Ability to work well independently & also in a team · High energy, self-starter, & self-motivated Territory: Calgary & surrounding cities
