Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer for our Wethersfield, CT office. As part of our Wastewater team qualified candidates will be involved with a wide range of wastewater infrastructure projects, focusing on treatment process design and construction. This will encompass all phases of design, including conceptual/feasibility evaluations, project management, preparation of design reports, permitting, development of construction drawings and specifications, and support of construction services. Key Responsibilities: * Position will include high level of client development and management, supported by our local offices and New York City Corporate Headquarters. * Support the development of technical treatment strategies, selection of treatment processes, developing process design criteria, and delivering projects * Support coordination and collaboration with clients * Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery. * Support planning, design, permitting, and construction of wastewater-related projects. * Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the client’s needs * Candidate shall also be able to support preparation of proposals and presentations * Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel Required Qualifications: * minimum of 10 years of experience (a minimum of 20 preferred) * Minimum professional qualifications are a BS degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering * PE license * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. * Experience with project management or the desire to grow into a project management role What We Offer: * Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans) * Pre-tax flexible spending plans for medical, dependent care, and transportation * Short and long-term disability, and employer paid life insurance * Paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off (PTO) * Employer-contributed 401(k) plan and additional financial planning support * Professional growth opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, in-house training, and incentives for professional registration and professional organization memberships * Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location
