Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Join our dynamic and expanding team of senior water quality and hydrodynamic modellers, where you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the mining and natural resource sectors. As a senior professional, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping environmental strategies, mentoring junior staff, and driving innovation in modelling practices across large-scale operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of advanced hydrodynamic and water quality models to assess environmental impacts for major mining developments.
  • Provide strategic oversight and technical direction in the development and refinement of modelling tools and frameworks.
  • Guide conceptual model development, data synthesis, and numerical modelling with a focus on scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including geochemists, hydrogeologists, and permitting specialists—to deliver integrated environmental impact assessments.
  • Author and review high-quality technical reports, proposals, and client presentations, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and thought leader, supporting the growth of junior staff and contributing to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Represent WSP in client engagements, regulatory consultations, and industry forums, reinforcing our reputation as a global leader in environmental consulting.
