Description
Develops project scope, budgets, and delivery schedules for each assignment, and is responsible for ensuring tasks/projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Participates in industry conferences/associations at the local, state, and/or national level via committee memberships, presentations, and/or leadership roles. Participates in marketing and business development activities for the water/wastewater market in the region. This includes the development of proposals. Works with other senior staff to manage clients in the region. Coordinates execution of projects with other disciplines. Develops small to large design projects from inception to completion. Prepares construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water wastewater systems for clients. Creates and manages cost estimates and project schedules. Performs detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilizes design software to solve complex issues. CADD software knowledge is a plus, but CADD drafting is not required as part of this position. Supervises and supports the work of others and mentors junior level engineer & design/drafting technical staff. Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field of study 10 years of progressively responsible experience Licensed Professional Engineer Staff development and supervision skills; including mentoring junior-level staff. Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills. Client relationship skills: including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful record of accomplishment, delivering a variety of engineering projects that meet or exceed the expectations of the client. Ability to travel 10% - 20%. Experience in water/wastewater plant/facility design and construction administration/oversight projects. Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or an MBA 15 years of progressively responsible experience Secondary certification (W/WW Operators License, BCEE, PMP, LEED, ENV SP) Active participation in regional (local/state) and/or national professional associations
