Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Water/Wastewater Specialist in the Water/Wastewater Group (W/WW). This position will provide senior-level engineering and operational support for the planning, direction and management of specific tasks related to W/WW projects and facilities. This position will also provide supervision and management of Major Maintenance Programs to include oversight of inspections, maintenance and repair coordination, specifications, and scopes of work.
This position is primarily located at our Headquarters Facility in Millersville, MD and will include oversight for projects located throughout the State of Maryland.
Estimated Pay Range:
$85,568.63 - $149,745.11

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus fifteen years of progressively responsible experience as an operator responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining water, wastewater or industrial wastewater treatment systems. This experience must have included at least two years of direct supervisory capacity managing staff.
Note: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Water Resources, or a related field may be substituted for two years of the required experience. Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
