The University of Maryland School of Graduate Studies (UMSGS) has an opportunity for a Senior Web Specialist to support the comprehensive content review and restructuring of the school’s external website. This full-time contract position will report to the Director of Communications and work closely with the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) Office of Communications and Public Affairs to align the website with institutional branding, improve user experience, and ensure strategic content alignment.
This role does not involve web development. However, the ideal candidate will have experience with content management systems (CMS) and a working knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently. Ability to demonstrate, understand, apply, and adhere to the UMB Core Values of Respect and Integrity, Well-being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery.
Hiring Range: $70,000 - $78,000, commensurate with education and experience.
