Description

Provide domain-specific expertise to drive the driver/OS/firmware (BIOS/EC) engineering development and implementation process for overall software/firmware perspective. Manage and expand relationships with internal and external development partners on software/firmware design and development; ensure progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule. Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent major. Typically 15+ years experience in NB/PC related software/firmware development. Extensive experience with multiple software/firmware design tools and languages, such as C, C++, Python, Assembly, WinDbg, etc. Evaluating forms and processes for software/firmware testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools Experience in CI/CD and Agile or other equivalent modern development method. Experience in overall architecture of software/firmware and interaction with hardware/software/OS designs for products and solutions. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
