Description EDITOR The Worker's Compensation Orthopedic Editor will be responsible for the review and editing of Med-Legal reports. Medical writing and editing experience required.Duties and Responsibilities: Must have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reporting Must have experience with reviewing AME/QME reports Must have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664 Excellent communication, writing and grammar skills Must be well versed with worker's compensation and medical terminology Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to handle multiple task Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics. Requirements Qualifications: 2 to 3 years' work experience in Workers Compensation cases Experience in Orthopedics and Pain Management preferred Dependable and organized Receptive to constructive criticism and feedback Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignments Self-starter, proactive and works well with little supervision Excellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and attention to detail Intermediate or higher skill level in WordPerfect and Word office Associates degree or higher Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 8 hour shift
Responsibilities
The Senior Work Comp Editor is primarily responsible for reviewing and editing Med-Legal reports, requiring prior experience in medical writing and editing within the Worker's Compensation field. Duties include reviewing AME/QME reports and applying thorough knowledge of AMC Guides 5th edition and relevant Labor codes.
