Within BCSS, Core Networks Engineering ensures end-to-end product development with aligned architectures, tools, and processes. Product Development Unit Communication Services, Unified Data Management & Exposure (PDU COS UDME) develops and maintains a competitive portfolio including IMS/VoLTE, UDM, MSS, Exposure & Service Enablement, Lawful Intercept, Network Location (ENL), Mission Critical Applications (MCA), and shared platforms (AXE, TSP, CBA). Product Development Group MTAS&CSCF (PDG MTAS&CSCF) owns the design of two key products in our global VoLTE-based IMS platform: the Ericsson Multimedia Telephony Application Server (MTAS) and the Call Session Control Function (CSCF). Our teams are located in Sweden, Hungary, and India, collaborating closely with customer units during our transition into 5G. Position Summary We’re looking for a Senior Workflow Developer (MTAS) to join our Budapest-based team. You will develop MTAS/CSCF Workflow (VNF Lifecycle Management) features, primarily in Python, and support operational tasks in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment. Our team values clear ownership, knowledge sharing, pragmatic decision-making, and continuous improvement. Because customers may require urgent fixes during upgrades, you will work closely with QA and Customer Success, participate in on-call rotation, and contribute to a culture that balances speed with quality. What You Will Do Implement and test new Workflow features end-to-end for MTAS/CSCF. Triage and resolve TRs/CSRs, often during time-critical customer upgrades. Participate in on-call rotation and coordinate emergency fixes. Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and post-incident reviews. Contribute to automation (CI, regression testing) to reduce release risk. The skills you will bring 5–6+ years of experience Strong Python development skills Advanced Linux system knowledge Experience with OpenStack and VMware VIMs Good spoken and written English BSc or MSc degree It is an advantage if you have: Telecom, networking, or SIP domain knowledge Experience with Jira or other ticketing tools Security awareness or experience System testing background CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) Why join Ericsson?
