This is a great opportunity to be part of our Workplace Services and Property team, and take a lead role in ensuring that our modern workplaces deliver for our people and providing service excellence.
The team delivers a first rate customer service and specialist property support to the Department and external stakeholders. Our most recent successes include a complete redesign of our London HQ and significant improvements to our Manchester HQ to ensure our offices continue to adapt to our ever changing and dynamic workforce.
We work closely with cross government stakeholders to implement the Places for Growth and Plan for London strategies, to make sure our estate is shaped for the future.

JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting and varied role with responsibility for the Workplace Services provided at one of our Departmental HQs. You will also have the opportunity to utilise and develop skills in Property Management while working in a supportive environment. The role includes liaison with Ministerial and Senior Leadership offices, providing the opportunity to develop cross team relationships to deliver collaborative projects.

You will be:

  • Responsible for the day to day Workplace Services provided at our London HQ and other London sites, resolving queries and requests from DCMS colleagues using creativity, individual judgement and expertise.
  • Manage operational relationships with our primary supplier, the Government Property Agency, ensuring effective prioritisation to resolve property issues.
  • Lead and deliver small change projects across the DCMS property portfolio, including project managing third parties delivery contractors/agencies, budget management and customer engagement.
  • Play a key role within the Workplace Services financial and contract management process including budget management and supplier management.
  • Support the Head of Property & Workplace Services to resolve a range of unique property issues, across multiple sites & to deliver DCMS’ Property Strategy, including securing our long term London HQ.
  • Work closely with colleagues across DCMS, including Digital, Security and Change teams, to support an enhanced user experiences
  • Line management of 1 HEO
