THE ROLE

Working as part of the Brands team, your role will be to create high-quality, informative content for one of our leading digital brands. This content will attract users interested in the products and services we offer through organic search.
The content you produce and edit should aim to appeal to the brand’s target audience, be optimised for an audience acquisition channel (e.g. search, social, email) and, above all, offer value to customers.
In addition to your content production responsibilities, a Senior Writer will pitch article ideas to the brand Editor, act as a mentor to other writers in the content team and represent the brand in the media if the opportunity arises.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production of engaging, high-quality content to deadline that helps users make informed decisions.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise across a range of products and services to generate high-quality content.
  • Write new product, service and company reviews, how-to guides, informational and feature content to generate targeted, high-quality website traffic.
  • Update existing articles to improve the overall quality and ensure the information on site is up-to-date, fresh and relevant.
  • Commission freelance writers and edit work created by others where required to ensure factual accuracy and good English.
  • Write news and features articles that attract traffic to the website and earn links from other authoritative websites when required.
  • Collaborate with other teams (including Campaigns, Social Media, PR & SEO) to build brand awareness, visibility and authority.
  • Pitch ideas to the Editor that will help the brand achieve one or more of the brand’s goals.
  • Continually seek to raise quality standards in your own content and that produced by others to better serve customers.
  • Provide other writers and freelancers with clear and constructive feedback to help them develop.
  • Run workshops or development sessions for others in the content team when required to do so.
