Job Summary The Senior Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of production workers, assisting in managing the daily production operations and ensuring safety guidelines and Company standards are enforces at all times. This position ensures that that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows under the general guidance and supervision of the Production Manager, Job Responsibilities 1 Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests. Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change. Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities 2 Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ensure that all workers are properly trained and responsibilities are defined and understood. Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge & Skills Comprehensive understanding of production processes, equipment, and workflows in the water supply and distribution industry. Strong leadership and supervisory skills to oversee production teams, allocate resources, and ensure operational efficiency. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues, optimize production schedules, and minimize downtime. Effective communication skills to coordinate with maintenance staff, management, and other departments for smooth production operations.
