Description
This position is responsible for the sensor performance throughout the Product Development life-cycle. This position may occasionally be involved in Enhancement & Sustaining projects for ISC legacy products. This position is expected to work closely with various cross-functional groups to fully assure a properly designed product from concept to production. Lead design, analysis and validation of sensing systems Lead analysis, evaluation and validation of materials used to develop sensing systems Develop and refine algorithms for interpreting sensor output Analyze data to resolve discrepancies between expected and actual performance Collaborate with cross functional team to optimize hardware and system integration Develop and maintain documentation for designs, validation protocols and algorithm development Monitor advancements in sensing technologies and recommend updates to keep products best-in-class Ensure compliance with relevant agency approvals and safety standards Participate in technical reviews, cross-functional meetings and strategy sessions Minimum PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited engineering college or university Minimum 5 years experience in sensor chemistry, ink formulation or material science Demonstrated expertise in sensor system design and signal processing Demonstrated experience with hardware/firmware integration for sensor systems Demonstrated analytical skills Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team while also meeting individual responsibilities Experience in environmental, gas or particulate monitoring Proficiency in JIRA and JAMA Experience using statistical analysis models Experience in project management Experience in regulated industries (e.g. medical devices, aerospace, automotive) Able to work effectively in a formal product development team environment Able to exercise independent, sound judgment and decision making Able to commit to and work under deadlines Demonstrated understanding of Stage-Gate development process Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
