Northrop Grumman Defense Systems looking for a Associate Project Manager / Project Manager. This position can be located in Roy, UT.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Project Manager: Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of project management/related industry experience or 4 years of relevant experience may be added in lieu of degree.
Project Manager: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of project management/related industry experience or Masters and 1 year or 4 years of relevant experience may be added in lieu of degree.

Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. This position will also be responsible for supporting major milestones associated with an integrated master schedule and collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to meet objectives.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks while driving outcomes and owning results. Acts with a “owner” mindset and takes accountability.
Problem Solving: Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Discretion/Latitude: Ability to work under only very general supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
Impact: Capable, assertive in contributing to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify. Deals effectively with change and challenges and helps others do the same.
