Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Guidance Systems Architect (T02) / Principal Guidance Architect (T03) for its Guidance & Control team. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Architect level (T-02) or Principal Architect level (T-03).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity or experience with MagicDraw / Cameo EA
  • Familiarity or expertise in DOORS requirements management tool
  • Experience developing ICDs and defining interfaces in an MBSE environment
  • Experience working in an Agile team
  • Understanding of GN&C algorithms and flight critical software development
  • Understanding of the following specialty areas: nuclear surety, cybersecurity, flight safety
  • Working understanding of basic control system theory and vehicle management systems / guidance system design
  • Work experience in one of the following disciplines: guidance & control systems, inertial sensors, navigation systems or vehicle management systems

Responsibilities

As a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Software Architect, the individual will join a team of Systems Engineers who will continue to mature the GN&C Software Systems Engineering products from Preliminary Design phase to a Critical Design Review and beyond. The role includes a fully immersed Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to Systems Engineering.

  • Responsible for ensuring the execution and quality of the GN&C Software engineering products and their alignment with parent Guidance systems, acting as the liaison with different IPTs, maturing GN&C Software unit requirement specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and architecture definition as well as ensuring vertical and horizontal integration of the GN&C Software requirements, interfaces and design.
  • Must be capable of performing in a highly dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities
