Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Pathways Associate Systems Engineer. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and supports the Sentinel program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 1 year of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Experience applying new advanced learning technologies, methods, processes and tools
  • Academic or Practical Experience with systems engineering (writing requirements, defining interfaces, performing verification activities)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with support equipment development and fielding
  • Experience with Training Device development and fielding
  • DOORs
  • Cameo
  • Developing Interface Control Models (ICMs)
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work self-sufficiently
  • Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Experience with leading a team of diverse, technical backgrounds

Responsibilities
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment
  • Work with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management in development of Support Equipment for mission operational system on the Sentinel program to apply concepts and practices to Support Equipment
  • Analysis and perform Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for Support Equipment Architecture development
  • Perform analyses at all levels of product lifecycle to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements as applicable to support equipment and total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into support equipment specifications using DOORS
  • Develops Architectural framework products using CAMEO MBSE product toolsets
  • Ensure support equipment requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with technical needs of the Sentinel program
