QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-6 years of experience in SEO marketing, content marketing, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Expertise in keyword research tools and analytics platforms (i.e., SEMRush, GA4, Search Console)
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, site structure, and content optimization
  • Track record of developing and executing high-impact content strategies
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex SEO concepts to stakeholders
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an SEO Content Manager, you’ll help lead and oversee our top-of-funnel content strategy. You will leverage keyword research tools, analytics platforms, and business performance metrics to develop topics and prioritize execution. You will craft content outlines that align with SEO targets and guide the development of high-quality articles that drive engagement and action. You will be responsible for managing a team of internal and freelance writers to produce a high volume of new and refreshed content each week, ensuring that we hit production targets. You will continually monitor key performance metrics, leverage data-driven insights to make improvements, and report on results. Using a strategic outlook, you will proactively stay up-to-date on the SEO landscape, algorithm updates, and technology that can create efficiency.

WHAT YOU DO EACH DAY:

  • Develop, execute, and lead a top-of-funnel content marketing strategy to improve our online visibility and keyword rankings
  • Use keyword research, competitive insights, and company data to develop and prioritize content topics
  • Grow and manage a team of freelance writers, ensuring the consistent output of high-quality content delivered on time and on budget.
  • Manage and mentor a junior SEO writer, fostering career development and high performance
  • Oversee the writing, editing, and publishing of SEO-optimized and engaging content
  • Coordinate and execute the development of blog content with broader company teams and initiatives as requested
  • Work cross-functionally to identify content opportunities, scale processes, and support company objectives
  • Monitor SEO and business KPIs to measure content success and make data-driven optimizations
  • Drive innovation in SEO content marketing by evaluating and implementing new tools, strategies, and best practices
  • Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
