We're looking for an SEO professional who is as comfortable with the technical side of search optimisation as they are with on-page techniques, link building and keyword research. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a number of exciting and diverse SEO projects that will take your skills and expertise to the next level. The successful candidate will also become a valuable resource for our content, marketing and engineering teams when it comes to anything search optimisation specific. About you 3–5 years of experience in SEO (with a strong understanding of technical SEO) Experience managing multi-regional and multi-language SEO strategies, including hreflang implementation, regional keyword targeting, and localisation best practices Expertise in using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console and tracking keyword rankings & performance of SEO projects in said tools Advanced proficiency in GA4, with the ability to analyse organic traffic data, attribution models, and build insightful dashboards to track performance Strong familiarity with different CMS platforms (Contentful, WordPress etc) Able to identify toxic backlinks and disavow these to improve the backlink profile Know how to optimise Core Web Vitals signals to improve rankings Comfortable and competent in creating and editing sitemaps, robot.txt files etc when required Understand how to use Schema to optimise and enrich content and pages Having a solid understanding of UX principles and how these affect SEO (would be highly advantageous) Have a firm grasp on site architecture and how to optimise this for SEO Be a master of keyword research and have a deep understanding of content clustering, internal linking and optimising key pages for search Assist our content team and writers with value-driven research and collaborate with them to build blog strategies that are highly optimised for search (build a content engine) Have a good understanding of search algorithms and how these can affect rankings Link building and acquisition skills Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript (any experience building sites in React or Next.js is highly valued) Experience with WordPress and optimising sites built with JavaScript frameworks Ability to clearly communicate technical SEO changes to our Engineering team and explain the reasoning behind them (build influence with our product experts) Can think outside of the box to outrank our competitors Task/project prioritisation & critical thinking skills are a must If you have some experience with B2B SEO that would also be highly advantageous Why you should join Blys Fast-growing and exciting start-up with excellent growth opportunities Mission-led company - we want to change the world!
