Responsibilities
  • Perform keyword research in coordination with client business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities
  • Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific.
  • Proactive monitoring and actioning of all SEO Metrics
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Perform site level optimization: improving site structure, page construction, compelling SEO copywriting, updating metadata and all tags (h1, alt, etc.)
  • Managing execution of SEO strategies, including keyword strategy implementation, upper navigation implementation and executing tactical strategies based on competitive analysis.
  • Identify key editorial optimizations to improve SEO performance of core pages.
  • Conversion optimization and testing, site inner linking and architecture strategy
  • Performing competitive research and identify opportunities (content gap analysis)
  • Presenting audits and reports to clients.
  • Driving strategy to acquire backlinks that positively impact organic rankings
  • In-depth analysis of potential inbound links to meet quality standards.
  • Reaching out to bloggers and influencers via email, twitter, blog comments, Facebook and on the phone
  • Competitor analysis - keep track and decode their link building strategies.
  • Identifying and removing any potentially harmful backlinks that could negatively affect website’s ranking
  • Identification of link spam issues
  • Qualify websites for potential link opportunities
  • Keep track of all activities including outreach efforts, links built, anchor text used, domain and page authorities of all acquired links
  • Research and recommend Postmedia properties for link acquisition.
