Separation Science Sales Engineer – Western For over 90 years, LECO has been a leader in the development and production of world class laboratory instruments delivering state of the art products nationwide and across the globe. Located in St. Joseph, Michigan, LECO continues to be a family-owned company that understands the value of shared interests, long-term stability, loyalty, and trust.   Position Summary:  This job is primarily located in the Western part of the United States and requires some domestic travel (50% to 75%).  Good communications skills and willingness to work with a wide variety of our existing and new customers is required. LECO offers a teamwork-based work environment with opportunities for career growth, interaction with other engineering disciplines, and experiences with leading-edge technology.    Position Responsibilities:  * Responsible for direct sales of all assigned products and related accessories / consumables for Separation Science * Travel assigned territory in domestic USA * Territory Location – within the Western Region including: Southern California,  Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Alaska. * Some overnight travel required * Review and discuss LECO’s product offerings * Sales preparation and presentations * Arrange and participate in sample demonstrations * Attend Trade Shows as required  * Maintain current customer relations management database for all activities involving customers and other LECO team members * Ability to generate quotations for products to customers. This requires an understanding of the technical information of the products you are responsible of selling.   Position Requirements:  * Required to generate weekly Sales activity reports to submit to management * Work with Service / Applications / Technical Communications / Research & Development on customer issues, installations, samples, etc. as required * Reside within the territory.   Education/Certifications:  * BS Degree preferably in Chemistry, Material Science, or other related disciplines * Strong oral and verbal communication skills * Prior field sales and/or lab experience would be a plus * Basic understating of GC/MS technology will be a plus  * Ability to work within the USA without restrictions   EOE M/F/VET/Disability
