As a Safety, Environment & Quality (SEQ) Advisor, you will be based out of our office in Morwell, providing practical, hands-on, health & safety support to FH business units and projects across our Gippsland region. You will report through to the SEQ Manager and collaboratively work with our teams at all levels of the business ensuring best practice standards are being met and exceeded. We will look to you to also: Develop, interpret and maintain safety related documentation i.e. Health, Safety & Environment Plans, SWMS, data and trend analysis etc. to ensure they remain current and compliant with legislation and best practice. Conduct risk assessments, safety based audits and inspections, identifying opportunities for improvement. Drive and champion a culture that is focused on the pillars of safety, environment & quality. Manage reported hazards, incidents, non-conformances and near misses and coordinate/participate in investigations as required. Assist with return-to-work processes and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Use safety systems to meet reporting requirements (monthly reports, objectives & targets). Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulators. To be successful in this role you will have: 2-3 years' experience working in a similar role (construction, civil works or maintenance experience is desirable) Tertiary qualified in WHS, with Cert IV completion or similar preferred. Developed organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and execute outcomes independently. Experience in incident investigation and root-cause methodologies (e.g., ICAM/Taproot desirable). Knowledge of safety legislation and statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to the work group or project.
