An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Solicitor to join our dynamic Serious Injury and Catastrophic Personal Injury team in Bolton. The team handles a diverse and complex caseload involving high-value personal injury matters such as severe orthopaedic trauma, amputations, internal injuries, chronic pain conditions, PTSD/psychiatric harm, and an expanding brain injury caseload.
We are seeking someone with demonstrable experience in serious injury and multi-track litigation. Claimant experience is preferred, although we welcome applications from those with a solid defendant background in personal injury work.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage all aspects of serious injury cases under supervision, including investigating liability, causation, and quantum, in line with applicable rules, protocols, and internal SLAs.
· Support efficient file management by meeting deadlines, progressing cases using the case management system, maintaining accurate time records, and following an effective diary system.
· Take ownership of allocated tasks and case elements, ensuring a high standard of work within the required timeframes.
· Review and analyse substantial documentation and medical records, obtain client instructions, and liaise with experts where necessary.
· Work independently with initiative, while recognising when to seek guidance or supervision from senior team members.
· Confidently manage court directions in litigated matters, including service, directions questionnaires, ADR, and trial preparation.
