Responsibilities
  • Report for your shift on time in a clean pressed uniform.
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Clock in and out as scheduled.
  • Learn the names of residents and address them in a proper manner.
  • Ensure that the dining venue is kept clean, properly set and operating in compliance with the procedures set forth by the Standard Operating Procedures and the Dining Room Manager.
  • Remain vigilant to guests’ needs and act accordingly to ensure prompt, courteous service.
  • Take food orders in a courteous, pleasant manner as set forth by the Standard Operating Procedures, including writing the order neatly and legibly on the guest check.
  • Deliver meals to guests requiring the ability to frequently lift and transport up to 25 lbs.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the dining venue menu in order to promote items in a positive and descriptive manner.
  • Maintain work station to ensure it is clean and well-stocked at all times.
  • Be accountable for all guest checks issued by the Hostess.
  • Perform all side work duties as assigned including those listed for the end of the service shift.
  • Check with the dining room manager or assistant dining room manager at end of shift before leaving to ensure all required work has been completed.
  • Be attentive to the residents and their special dietary needs.
  • Bus and set tables.
  • Perform set up, table service, and clean up for special functions.

Server 1: Performs all duties above and the following:

  • Provide exceptional service to 3 tables simultaneously.
  • Proficient in taking orders correctly.
  • Open communication with all food service employees to ensure a strong team effort.
