Job Objective Create an exceptional dining experience for the guests by exhibiting remarkable personal and professional skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and fine dining environment. Responsibilities Responsibilities and Tasks Provide an extraordinary hospitality experience Ensure beach club and dining room is set and ready for service to the Lovango standard with special attention to assigned section Complete designated opening and closing responsibilities Attends pre-shift in uniform ready to go for service Maintain a neat and clean appearance in compliance with health code Wear a complete clean, designated, wrinkle free uniform and name tag Warmly greet each guest Help stock service stations and buss trays Help buff silverware and glasses Act as liaison between the service staff and the kitchen Communicate any food issues with the Chef Know the restaurant set up and seat numbers to accurately deliver food Assist in the service and clearing of food as directed by the server Assists bartender with food service to guests. Assist in any other aspects of the restaurant as needed Take out restaurant trash with stewards at the end of each shift Maintain cleanliness and stock of expo area Be motivated to stay productive, helpful, and impactful to the guest experience in a positive manner Exhibit exceptional job and product knowledge to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information Exhibit self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner Complete assigned cleaning responsibilities Ensure work is inspected by management prior to departure Proficiently perform all job duties in a fast-paced environment Protect our assets: glassware, equipment, furniture, and fixtures Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees Policies and Procedures Alcohol awareness program is strictly enforced Ensures all measures are taken to prevent virus and bacteria spread Management is involved in all guest and employee altercations All situations involving illegal substances needs to be reported to management Harassment of any type will not be tolerated Complies with all aspects of the Little Gem Resorts Handbook regarding time & attendance No smoking or vaping near or around guests Qualifications Qualifications At least 18 years old Excellent people skills and outgoing personality Team player Maintains a current state health card permit Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs Ability to move up to 150 lbs., with wheeled assistance Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule Must be a service minded individual with a positive attitude who truly enjoys helping others Must be quick on their feet and adept at handling stressful situations seamlessly Must be computer literate Must be able to handle criticism Must be proactive Minimum 1 year Food & Beverage experience. High school diploma preferred. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to obtain Food Service Sanitation certification. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available). Successful applicant will pass pre-employment background check and complete the federally mandated I-9 Form. Please note our season is from December until the end of July. All employees must be available for the full season.
Responsibilities
