Showcase your service and organization strengths as Banquet Server where your attention to detail, safety and quality will help “set the stage” for a successful group function. Hourly Rate: $16.00 What you will be doing: Serve, clear and re-set tables in a timely manner, while adhering to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts standards Assist guest regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our banquet venues exceeds expectation Ensure the delivery of excellent service in banquet functions and meeting events Set-up and breakdown of functions and meeting events Provide any service required by the guests on the banquet floor Check service stations for necessary equipment and set up: food, beverages, ice, dishes, and utensils; replenish as needed Adhere to the State of Hawaii food handling safety standards Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Be knowledgeable of the island, our resort and its offerings in order to be our guests’ trusted guide Carry out duties in accordance with company policies/procedures to ensure safety and security of guests and colleagues, including reporting suspicious persons and lost and found items Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures Follow hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel. Qualifications Your experience and skills include: One year of Food & Beverage experience Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team Certifications or Licenses: TB Clearance required Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification required Maui County Liquor Card required Additional Information All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
