JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Server/Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of both food and beverage service and will be responsible for creating an excellent guest experience by accurately taking orders, mixing and serving drinks, and providing a positive and attentive atmosphere for all patrons. You should be a collaborative, energetic team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Previous experience as a Server and Bartender in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, beer, and wine lists, and general beverage preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and stay calm under pressure during peak hours.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards for food and beverage handling.[Provincial/Territorial responsible beverage service certification], e.g., Smart Serve in Ontario.
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age and serve alcohol responsibly, adhering to all provincial/territorial liquor laws.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and server station, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and replenishing inventory.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling both cash and credit card transactions.
  • Address any guest complaints or concerns professionally and effectively, ensuring a positive resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, other servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform all opening, running, and closing duties, such as table setup, polishing cutlery, and end-of-shift reports.
