OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Server/ Bartender to join our dynamic team in a cozy restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience. It is a small restaurant (max 50 guests). You will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, managing the front of the house, and providing outstanding hospitality to our patrons.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Previous knowledge of mixology, beverage preparation, and serving techniques.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change accurately.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper storage of liquor and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of the house, including proper storage, table settings, reservations.
  • Operate the POS system efficiently, including Moneris, for processing orders and payments.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations while serving food items as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Smart Serve Ontario while serving alcoholic beverages to guests.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly while maintaining cash handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow between the bar and dining areas.
