Description The Server/Bartender Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of Edina Country Club’s three dining outlets -Chester’s, The Landing, and The Pub. A primary focus of this role is to assist the management team with their operational needs, ensuring exceptional member service, consistent execution of standards, and effective communication between front-of-house staff, management, and the culinary team. The Supervisor also assists with training, shift leadership, bar support, and problem resolution to maintain a high-quality dining experience for members and guests. Key Responsibilities Front-of-House Leadership Serve as an on-floor point of contact for servers, bartenders, bussers, and food runners during assigned shifts. Monitor dining rooms and bars to ensure service standards, steps of service, and cleanliness expectations are met. Assist with table management and maintain smooth operational flow during peak periods. Support bartenders with drink execution, bar prep, restocking, and member engagement when needed. Ensure all dining outlets are properly closed, secured, and prepared for the following service period. Oversee end-of-night building close-down procedures, including cutting staff appropriately, counting cash, securing all FOH spaces, and locking doors and setting alarms once all staff have finished and exited. Provide assistance to the management team with operational and managerial duties when required. Staff Development & Training Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to FOH staff to maintain high service standards. Assist with onboarding, training new staff, and reinforcing club policies and procedures. Conduct section checks, bar quality checks, and refreshers on wine, cocktail, and food knowledge. Help identify performance issues and communicate concerns to management. Member Experience Greet members, build rapport, and ensure exceptional service throughout the dining experience. Address service issues promptly and professionally, escalating to management when appropriate. Ensure consistency in member experience across Chester’s, The Landing, and The Pub. Operational Support Assist with scheduling coverage, communicating daily assignments, and adjusting workflow based on volume. Oversee accurate order entry, POS standards, and coordination with the kitchen. Support management with inventory tasks, bar organization, product rotation, and basic cash and card handling procedures. Ensure all food safety, beverage service, and club compliance standards are followed. Event & Special Service Support Help prepare for special events, theme nights, holidays, and peak business periods. Coordinate staff responsibilities and transitions between event spaces and dining outlets as needed. Qualifications Strong leadership skills and experience motivating a team. Clear and effective communication abilities. Excellent time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. Independent, proactive work style. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
