Job Details Job Location: Blackberry Farm - Walland, TN Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $15.00 - $21.00 Hourly Job Shift: Evening Shift Description and Qualifications SUMMARY The purpose of the Front Waiter position is to provide thorough knowledge and understanding of our food service and High Hampton in general, taking Guests’ orders, interacting, anticipating, and communicating with Guests every need while providing recovery if needed. Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Interacts with guests during service offering a high-quality experience Gives detailed, comprehensive menu descriptions and components of each dish Responds to guest’s needs of dietary requirements and knowledge and handling of such issues Being responsive and proactive to guest needs Sets tone and atmosphere of the Dining Room; having a forward approach and presence in the dining room Understands wines by the glass and basic wine & liquor knowledge Assists with Food and Wine events in any dining capacity Demonstrates strong organizational skills Follows instructions from direct supervisor and communicates progress Menu Knowledge of the menus within your restaurant Must comply with all company policies and procedures. Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent required At least one year of operational experience in a fine dining restaurant preferred Knowledge of wine and spirits Knowledge and understanding of the Front House as it pertains to Opera, Open Table, word applications, menu development platforms, and functions LANGUAGE SKILLS Must have excellent verbal communication skills Must be able to communicate with guests, managers, and team workers effectively MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic knowledge and understanding of math Must be able to do property-wide guest charging and closing out of checks REASONING ABILITY Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
