JOB OVERVIEW

Cera Tapas is an elevated Korean tapas restaurant that brings the flavors and traditions of Korean cuisine into a refined, modern dining experience. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our service team. As a member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering attentive, polished service while sharing knowledge of Korean culinary culture with our guests. You will play an essential role in creating a welcoming, memorable dining experience that reflects our restaurant’s commitment to quality and hospitality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest in or familiarity with Korean cuisine and culture (Korean language skills are preferred, flexible)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality.
  • Previous serving or customer-facing experience in a restaurant or similar setting of 1 year is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated individuals.
  • Professional appearance, reliability, and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, attentive, and knowledgeable service at all times.
  • Guide guests through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations and insights into Korean flavors and traditions.
  • Communicate effectively with both guests and team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency in the dining area.
  • Support daily operations, including opening and closing duties.
  • Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, specifically Clover POS.
  • Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation.
  • Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
  • Ability to remain composed and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
