  • Previous serving experience required; fine-casual or upscale dining experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated wine knowledge (regions, styles, service standards, basic food pairing).
  • Sake knowledge is a strong plus; training available for the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication, hospitality mindset, and poised tableside presence.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol; reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver warm, efficient, and professional service from greeting to payment.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and guide guests toward memorable food and beverage pairings.
  • Lead wine service: recommend, present, open, and pour; maintain proper glassware and service standards.
  • Provide sake guidance and flights; collaborate on by-the-glass features and pairing notes.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and coordinate with kitchen and bar.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and sourcing; stay current on new arrivals.
  • Support light cellar tasks: restock, rotate, and help track inventory; uphold storage and temperature standards.
  • Assist with tastings, staff education, and guest events as needed.
  • Keep the dining room clean, organized, and service-ready at all times.
  • Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
