POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Servers help create an exceptional guest experience through engaging interaction and quality service in our upscale dining outlets and banquet spaces. Our Servers are expected to be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items, allergens, restaurant functions and services. They will make recommendations and answer all guest questions.

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:

  • Demonstrate a complete knowledge and understanding of the sequence of service
  • Have full and complete knowledge of all menus, recipes, and service standards
  • Ability to answer any guest question about food items, beverages, and wines in an informative, professional, and helpful way
  • Be aware of all cash handling procedures, cashout, and payment methods
  • Understand and follow all POS procedures and policies, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Communicate all service requirements to team members in a courteous and efficient way
  • Ensure that all work areas and stations are always kept clean, tidy, and safe
  • Perform all opening, side, and closing duties as well as weekly duties to standard
  • Understand how to correctly operate all restaurant equipment while protecting company assets
  • Assist all guests with any inquiries or requests in a pleasant, helpful manner
  • Stay up to date on all Resort events and activities through daily standups and internal communications
  • Actively promote Resort and restaurant special events regularly with guests
  • Other duties as assigned

To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience serving in an upscale high-volume establishment
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to think outside the box
  • A passion for the industry and meeting new people
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to multi-task and anticipate guests needs
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work evenings, holidays, and weekends based on business volumes and operational demand
  • Valid Serving It Right certificate
  • Experience with Squirrel and OpenTable considered an asse
