Description Job Title: Fine Dining Server Schedule: 4 - 11 pm approximately 2-3 nights per week. Holding the reins is Executive Chef, Jason Knibb, who boasts an abundance of industry honors including “San Diego’s Chef of the Year”, and a Rising Star Chef Winner (one of only two chefs in San Diego to be recognized for this coveted honor). Add to that on-site Pastry Chef, Jose Alonzo III, and a very long list of awards and accolades including Michelin “Plate Distinction” recognition. Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Present menu options, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, wine, and service to enhance the dining experience. Extensive wine knowledge Accurately record orders on checks or memorize them for efficient service. Relay orders to the kitchen and serve courses from the kitchen and bar promptly. Garnish and decorate dishes in preparation for serving to ensure an appealing presentation. Adhere to all policies for the responsible service of alcohol, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Request identification from customers when their legal age is in question to maintain compliance with alcohol service laws. Observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when meals have been completed. Total bills, process payments, and accept various forms of payment including cash, credit cards, or membership signatures. Perform additional services as required, such as ladling soup, tossing salads, and brewing coffee. Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food and beverage pairings and service techniques. Excellent wine knowledge. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments. Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant.
