POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently hiring Servers for a leading healthcare facility in Calgary. AB. As a Server with GHHS, you will play an important role in supporting the daily dietary needs of residents or patients by creating a clean, welcoming dining environment and providing courteous meal service in line with health and safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Food Handler Certification (provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate required)
  • Minimum 6–9 months of experience in a similar role within a healthcare, retirement, or long-term care setting
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past 6 months)
  • Completed 2-Step TB Test (within the past 6 months) and/or Chest X-ray (within the past year)
  • Proof of 2 or 3 doses of COVID-19 vaccination
Responsibilities
  • Serve meals and beverages to residents in the dining room in a courteous and timely manner
  • Set up dining areas, including placing utensils, plates, and beverages on tables
  • Clear and clean tables, dining areas, and service stations after meals
  • Assist with cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, and maintaining a hygienic environment
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and care teams regarding special dietary needs or concerns
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance while on duty
  • Report any resident feedback, incidents, or service concerns to supervisory staff promptly
