Job Summary:
Responsible for taking and delivering food and beverage orders. Provide quality guest service in a prompt, courteous and knowledgeable fashion.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Greets and seats guests, and takes food and beverage orders while demonstrating exceptional guest service.
  • Demonstrates responsible alcohol service in accordance with TIPS training.
  • Utilizes proper serving techniques.
  • Coordinates with back-of-the-house team members to ensure guests receive timely service.
  • Buses, cleans and sets tables when and if necessary.
  • Keeps work station area well stocked, clean and prepared for shifts.
  • Prepares condiments and coffee.
  • Delivers and retrieves checks.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Excellent verbal skills. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the staff. Must possess a high regard for guest service.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in guest service and food knowledge preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must have the ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as order tickets, recipes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
