We believe in going above and beyond — offering what we call Unreasonable Hospitality — to ensure our residents feel deeply cared for, respected, and at home. ---------------------------------------- POSITION SUMMARY As a Server (Dietary Aide), you are a front-line ambassador of our hospitality-driven dining program. Your role is to serve meals with warmth, attentiveness, and pride, creating a joyful, restaurant-style experience in a senior living setting. You support not just nutrition, but connection, dignity, and delight — every meal, every time. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Serve meals to residents in a timely, friendly, and professional manner * Learn residents’ names, preferences, and special dietary needs * Practice “hospitality-first” service by offering personal touches, such as remembering a favorite beverage or meal choice * Prepare dining room for service: setting tables, stocking stations, and ensuring cleanliness * Assist in plating, portioning, and delivering meals from the kitchen with presentation in mind * Clean dining and service areas post-meal, including tables, chairs, and floors * Support hydration stations, snack carts, and special occasion events * Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure accuracy of diets and textures, per clinical staff direction * Communicate with nursing and care teams to support residents with special needs or challenges (e.g., vision, mobility, cognition) * Report any resident concerns, safety hazards, or food complaints to the Dining Director * Embrace The Argyle’s mission of compassion, excellence, and community — every shift ---------------------------------------- QUALITIES OF AN UNREASONABLE HOSPITALITY SERVER * Empathetic: You see the human behind the resident and serve with heart * Detail-Oriented: You notice the little things that make a big difference * Team-Player: You show up for your teammates and residents alike * Reliable: You understand the importance of consistency and punctuality * Positive Attitude: You create a welcoming environment with your energy and words * Hospitality-Focused: You look for ways to “wow” even in small moments ---------------------------------------- REQUIREMENTS * Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or caregiving preferred but not required * Passion for working with seniors in a compassionate, person-centered way * Ability to follow dietary guidelines and communicate clearly with kitchen and care staff * Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and move between dining rooms * Must pass background check and health screening per Colorado assisted living regulations * Willingness to complete training in food safety and elder dining best practices ---------------------------------------- SCHEDULE OPTIONS We offer both full-time and part-time roles with consistent weekly schedules: Full-Time: * Tuesday through Saturday * Noon – 8:00 PM Part-Time: * Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday * 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM Weekend availability is required for all positions.
