Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-Time Cafe Server; individuals who enjoy providing our guests with the finest food and drink, accompanied by an attentive and positive attitude, for a flagship seminary school in the heart of Alexandria, VA. * Part-time * Must be available to work as follows: Tuesday- Saturday, 4pm-10:30pm * $15.00 Per Hour Plus Tips * Free Meals What the Server will do: * WOW guests and provide an exceptional dining experience * Courteously greet guests, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service * Relays orders to the service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system * Bus tables, remove dishes and utensils at the end of service * Handle cash and credit card transactions * Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service; maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness * Reset dining areas to ensure readiness for incoming guests * Comply with responsible alcohol service guidelines, including serving guests responsibly What the Sever will need: * High School Diploma or equivalent * 1 or more years of related work experience preferred * Familiarity with state and local laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages * Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages * ServSafe® and/or RSVP Certification; ability to obtain within 6 months of employment * Prior experience busing tables, catering, or bartending experience within a restaurant, hotel, or conference center operation * Exceptional customer service skills; strong team player * Excellent communication and good organizational skills * Ability to stand/move about for long periods of time and lift 30 lbs * Ability to handle high-volume customers * Reliable Transportation * Ability to work nights and weekends on an on-call basis as needed What the Server will get: * Competitive Pay, Meals, and Uniforms Meriwether Godsey offers significant opportunities for growth and career advancement.
