POSITION: RESTAURANT SERVER / BANQUET SERVER Reports To: Food & Beverage Managers, Banquet Manager, F&B Director ---------------------------------------- POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for delivering a high-quality dining experience to members and guests through attentive service, product knowledge, and professionalism. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Greet and serve members and guests in a courteous and timely manner * Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders * Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, beverages, and daily specials * Provide recommendations, including wine pairings * Set, clear, and reset tables in accordance with club standards * Process transactions accurately using POS systems * Ensure cleanliness and organization of service areas * Address guest needs promptly and communicate concerns to management ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 2 years of serving experience * Strong communication and customer service skills * Basic math and POS proficiency * Knowledge of food, wine, and service standards preferred ---------------------------------------- REQUIREMENTS * Food Safety Certification * Must meet legal requirements to serve alcohol * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs ---------------------------------------- Newport Harbor Yacht Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer and E-Verify participant.
