JOB SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for both serving guests and preparing beverages behind the bar, helping to ensure a high standard of hospitality for individuals, families, sports teams and community groups.
This role combines front-of-house service with bartending duties and occasional administrative and event support. It requires flexibility, a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to creating an exceptional guest experience in a busy, family friendly, sports-focused environment.

GUEST EXPERIENCE & SERVICE

  • Greet and engage guests in a warm, professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Take and deliver food and drink orders accurately, with attention to dietary restrictions and group needs
  • Serve large tables and sports teams efficiently while keeping a calm and friendly demeanor
  • Recommend food and drink options, explain specials and offer informed suggestions
  • Provide responsible alcohol service and monitor guest consumption
  • Address guest concerns promptly, escalating only when necessary
  • Work collaboratively with teammates, including positively engaging with kitchen staff, to ensure smooth service and a unified guest experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Serving and bartending experience preferred
  • Serving It Right certification (required)

· Complete a Criminal Record Check (required)

  • Confident with bar equipment, drink knowledge and guest interaction
  • Friendly, team-oriented and calm under pressure, never engaging in disputes
  • Comfortable taking direction and supporting teammates across departments
Responsibilities

BARTENDING DUTIES

  • Mix and serve drinks according to house recipes and safety standards
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized and well-stocked throughout service
  • Verify age of guests ordering alcohol and follow Serving It Right guidelines
  • Handle tabs, payments and end-of-shift closing procedures accurately
  • Replenish bar supplies and assist with inventory as required

ACCOUNTABILITY & REPORTING

  • Reports directly to the Food Services Manager
  • Also reports to designated supervisory team members during shifts
  • Reports to the Food & Beverage Committee Chairperson when the Manager is unavailable
