At Smokin J’s BBQ we strive to make our customers feel like the luckiest people in San Diego. We do this by paying attention to the details. Our meats are slow-smoked and pulled or sliced to order and everything is made in-house from scratch. The attention to detail extends to the front of house where all our customers are greeted as friends and we create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and welcome.
Smokin’ J’s BBQ is seeking friendly, energetic, and customer focused individuals to join our FOH team at our Poway location. We are hiring servers that will make our customers feel like the luckiest customers in San Diego when they dine with us.
Pay is $16.50 plus tips. We split tips evenly and average $6.5-$9/hr. Total pay is approximately $22.50-$24.50/hr.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Walking and standing for 5- 8 hour shifts
• Occasional bending

• Opening and/or closing procedures
• Taking orders, handling the POS system (Toast) and cash drawer
• Getting beverages (soda, beer, wine) for guests
• Running food and bussing tables
• Ensuring the patio and bar always stays clean and organized
• Making to-go cups for sauces, ketchup, and other condiments
• Answering general customer questions
• Taking phone orders
