SERVER JOB SUMMARY Quickly and efficiently provide guests food and beverage service in server’s section in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner. Quickly and efficiently complete all side-work and opening and closing duties associated with position responsibilities. Maintain a positive work environment and positive working relationship with coworkers. Exceed our guests’ service standards and expectations, while adhering to direction from management. SERVER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift * Have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner * Provide multiple guests food and beverage service in server’s section in a quick, professional, and efficient manner * Knowledge of and ability to accurately describe all food and beverage offerings and specials * Take accurate orders while maximizing sales using selling techniques and product knowledge * Exhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conduct * Provide exemplary guest service on a consistent basis * Correct and accurate execution of the POS system * Follow all proper cash handling procedures and guidelines * Perform all service in compliance with all ABC laws and Company policies that relate to the service of alcoholic beverages and the prohibition against over-service, serving intoxicated patrons and serving minors * Complete any and all assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organization * Perform all assigned side-work quickly and efficiently * Properly set up and break down stations before and after operating hours SERVER SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY * Knowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS system * Ability to read, write and speak the English language to interact with guests, the public, and coworkers * Proficient verbal communication skills * Ability to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud, busy, and crowded environment * Strong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction * Must have extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards * Knowledge of proper food handling requirements * Knowledge of bar and kitchen items * Basic mathematical skills * Knowledge of daily maintenance and cleaning of venue * Must have knowledge of all required legal documents, i.e., A.B.C., Health Department, Police, City, Etc. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Experience * Minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant/bar * Must be at least 18 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of Tennessee to serve alcoholic beverages Licenses or Certificates * ServSafe certification preferred * ABC Server Permit required * CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred GROOMING All employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Company’s grooming standards. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT * Must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures * Must be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employees * Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
