Patio season might be wrapping up, but we’re already gearing up for what’s next and that means growing our team.
Spring Mill Distillery is hiring Servers now, with the potential to step into a Supervisor role in the coming months.
Our Servers work hard to ensure a great customer experience while supporting the marketing efforts of Spring Mill Distillery.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be Smart Serve Certified, Food Handlers Certificate an asset
  • Previous Serving experience, Supervisor experience an asset.
  • Strong passion for Guest Service and Hospitality
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and flexible. Must be comfortable handling a wide variety of tasks independently with little supervision
  • Mature, positive attitude with ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently as part a team or independently
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Heavy lifting required (boxes of product, tables, promotional materials, display stands, etc.)
  • Valid G driver’s license as asset.
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $17.20-$17.70 per hour

Experience:

  • Supervising: 1 year (preferred)
  • Serving: 2 years (required)

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, responsive and friendly beverage service to guests.
  • Demonstrate complete and accurate knowledge of the menu and products.
  • Be attentive to guests needs, circulate the room as needed and respond quickly.
  • Always be ready to take beverage orders, spot opportunities to offer suggestions, refill empty glasses and promote product sales.
  • Use good judgment and discretion when serving alcohol.
  • Stock bar with adequate products, juices, fruit, glassware, ice, napkins, etc.
  • Handle complaints with professionalism and tact. Take action if possible or escalate to the supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment – ensure all glassware are clean, all surfaces are wiped and all equipment is turned off at shift end.
  • Ensure all guests are accurately charged, create a summary and end of shift report.
  • Perform thorough opening and closing out procedures, including; clean and stock the bar area, remove all garbage and recyclables
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures & standard
  • Represent Spring Mill Distillery positively, upholding brand values and enhancing the guest experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Senior Management to support the company’s ongoing success.
