Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Whistler’s OG local pub. Tapley’s is all about cold beer, live sports, good tunes, and that easy-going, locals-welcome vibe. If you’re a people-person who loves a fast-paced pub environment and thrives on good times, we’ve got a spot for you.
As a Tapley’s Server, you’re at the heart of the guest experience—welcoming regulars, connecting with visitors, and serving up good vibes with every pint. You’ll need to know your stuff, move fast, and bring great energy every shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests warmly and exhibit exceptional hospitality skills.
  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring orders are correct and meet presentation standards.
  • Recommend menu items, daily features, and drink pairings to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including tables, sections, and workstations.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, escalating to a manager when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs throughout their visit.
  • Process payments accurately, handle cash, and balance sales at the end of the shift.
  • Uphold all liquor service regulations and safety protocols (e.g., ID checks, responsible alcohol service).
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and venue events to stay updated on offerings and promotions.
  • Foster a positive and energetic atmosphere, embodying the Gibbons core values at all times.
